Changing the Face of Carlisle

A compelling insight into the life of a unique man, who quite literally changed Carlisle for ever. He was put in charge of the citys housing programme in 1919, he designed five bridges carrying traffic into Carlisle, he erected the Turkish Baths

on James Street and extended the electricity works there, and was responsible for many more innovative designs in the city of which many are still in place today.
