What began as a general interest in family history for David Cooper Holmes, turned into a journey back through time, making the discovery that one of his ancestors, Ann Gregg, was Cumberland’s most notorious female criminal.

Born into abject poverty in the mid 18th century, Ann along with other family members, were driven through circumstance, into a life of constant crime. This was a story just waiting to be told.
