Lake District Fell Farming

This book captures the research undertaken by Terry McCormick over a lifetime about the way the literary culture of the Lake District has shown (or often not shown) the shepherds and working people of that landscape.

It is important research, particularly since UNESCO recently awarded us World Heritage Status largely because of the landscape created and maintained by those people. If we are to sustain that precious cultural landscape we need books like this that begin the process of respecting and understanding the pastoral culture of these valleys.
