The War Years

This book looks at everyday life in Cockermouth during the years of World War 11 through first hand accounts, official records, photographs and newspaper extracts.

It also tracks what was happening at the nearby Moota POW camp, where the lives of so many men and local people became interwoven as the men went out to work in the local community.
