Cumbria’s Music Man

A Look Back At My Mad Pop World

Andy Park

£18.00

In the 1970s and 80s Carlisle in Cumbria was a sleepy provincial city about as far away from London as you can get! Second only to Liverpool, it was the centre of the United Kingdom for pop music, where you could see a different pop group from all parts of the country every night of the week.

It could be The Who, Brian Poole and The Tremeloes, The Hollies, Jimmy James and The Vagabonds at venues like The Cosmo, The County, The Queens, The Market Hall and Buskers NIghtclub. I should know because I booked them all.

This book takes you on a nostalgic trip back to those happy days.

All proceeds of sales go to raise money for the Cumberland Infirmary Cancer Unit.

Over £20,000 raised so far!
