Alphabet Poems

Alphabet Poems consists of 26 poems, one for each letter of the English alphabet. The starting point for each poem is the shape of the capital letter.

‘Sometimes’, says Mary Robinson, ‘I go back to an earlier hieroglyph and its signification, sometimes I use my imagination.’ The result is a wonderfully inventive sequence, casting new light on old forms.
