Join Terry Deary in conversation with award-winning Cumbrian writer MW Craven as they talk about writing, characters and careers with a focus on Terry’s debut crime novel ‘Actually I’m a Murderer’.
Terry Deary is the creator of the Horrible Histories series and is the UK’s bestselling Children’s & Young Adult Non-Fiction author since records began. In his 48 years as an author he has sold over 38 million books in 45 languages, and has also written for TV, theatre, radio, audio and new media scripts. His great love is reading murder mysteries and, after publishing 340 titles, he has finally found time to create his own. Actually, I’m a Murderer is based on a meeting he had on a train journey in 1974, where nobody died – unlike in the book!
M W Craven hails from Carlisle and is an internationally bestselling crime writer. His novels have been translated into over 25 languages and he has won multiple awards, including the prestigious Crime Writer’s Association Gold Dagger Award 2019. His Ben Koenig series is currently in production with Netflix.
