They have been organised by local author Alan Routledge into several sections, including: streets and shopping; industries, including coal and iron mining, ship building, and engineering; schools and churches; sport and recreation; and day-to-day life. Join Routledge as he looks back through these wonderful images and discusses just how this port town has changed over time.
