This is the first book to tell the story of Longtown, the last town in England. Longtown was an important crossing point on the River Esk on the border between Scotland and England.
It was developed by the Grahams of Netherby and became a thriving market town. Today it is a very special community with an individual life of its own. The book presents the town and its people in all their wonderful variety.
