Farewell to thy Greatness

It is now approaching 40 years since the last Deltic locomotive ran under British Railways ownership. However, thanks to the sterling work undertaken by the preservation movement a whole new generation of Deltic fans can still enjoy the sound of Napier Deltic engines hard at work. This book aims to pay tribute to the locomotives which survived into preservation along with those which are now but a memory. The author is a lifelong Deltic enthusiast and member of the Deltic Preservation Society, the group which started the preservation movement and is still at the forefront of keeping the Deltic flag flying high.
