C.V. “Viv” Hales was the son of a Lamplugh Headmaster, Charlie Hales, renowned in the West Cumbelrand vilage as a teacher, musician and sports organiser.
Himself a headteacher, Viv Hales in his retirement collected his childhood memories for his family.
