A Portrait of a Friendship – William Wordsworth & James Losh

Pamela Woof

£5.00

This essay began as a lecture given at Wreay, near Carlisle, when a study day was held to promote interest in St. Mary’s Church, Wreay and to raise funds for the restoration of its roof.

The church is a distinguished and original building. It was designed and built by Sarah Losh of Woodside, niece of Wordsworth’s friend, James Losh. This book explores more deply the sympathies and the differences within the relationship of James Losh and William Wordsworth.
