In 2004 Solway Historical Society restored the George Moore Memorial Fountain which stands in the centre of Wigton, Cumbria.
This book tells the story of the Fountain and of George Moore who built it as a memorial to his wife, Eliza. There is a detailed photographic record of the fountain itself and a pictorial record of the Fountain through the years.
It also lists the names of all who supported the restoration and gives the location of their initials on the fountain railings
